When I was a kid this one most likely one of my favorite go to snacks. Honestly I could eat it at almost any time of the day if my parents would have allowed me to. This brings back a major case of nastolga for me.

Now that I am an adult I realize how budget friendly this simple little dish is. Toast some bread, spread a good amount of butter across the toast and sprinkle the perfect cinnamon sugar mix across the top and you will instantly be brought back down memory lane.
To be honest while we have been stuck at home during this national stay-at-home(Quarantine) order. My son and I have been consuming these almost everday. They are great for the tastebuds and the memories however, not so great for the body long term with all this sugar.
Let’s get into how we have always made our perfect cinnamon sugar mix.
- slices of bread (your favorite)
- 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- butter, at room temperature
In a small bowl or shaker, mix sugar and cinnamon until blended together well. Toast bread, spread a good amount of butter on the toast then sprinkle generously with cinnamon sugar. Enjoy!
*Great on basically any bread item. Bagels, Muffins, you name it.
