Bacon Wrapped Onion Rings & Spicy Sriracha Sauce

Talk about a game changer! Onion rings are amazing but now we are wrapping them in bacon and honestly everything tastes a bit better when we wrap it up in bacon. Also I would like to note that the spicy sriracha sauce compliments other dishes very well also. I have found myself adding it to my burgers.


Sriracha mayo dipping sauce
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
Onion rings
  • 1 lbs Bacon
  • 3 Sweet Onions
  • Your favorite hot sauce


For the onion rings and sauce
  1. To make the Sriracha mayo, combine all the ingredients in a small bowl. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  2. Cut onions into 1/2 inch thick rings and pop the internal rings out until you have a nice sturdy onion ring.
  3. Brush onion with hot sauce.
  4. Wrap each onion ring with bacon and secure with a skewer or toothpick.
  5. Heavily cover the onion rings with pepper and smoke, grill or bake for about 90 minutes at 250-350 degrees.
